Equipment at the Den

We have everything you need to make pottery as easy as possible!

I started my pottery journey later in life and decided that I would use everything I could afford to make it as easy as possible! Obviously, use what you want and leave the rest (I'm no purist, but all are welcome in the Den).

I continually update the inventory, but here's where we are so far...

You will have access to all the usual tools plus:

For Handbuilding:

A range of MDF formas

A range of texture rollers and stamps for creating beautiful designs,

A range of hand-building templates (sold separately but free to use at the Den)

A slab roller (no rolling muscles required),

For Throwing:

A speedball opening thingy (consistent base depth forever),

A laser level (makes consistency a tad easier)

A Hartley & Noble Bat system (never ruin a pot removing it again), and

A Giffin Grip (trimming has never been easier!)

Training on some equipment may be necessary, but do not fear, I'll be on hand to assist! Using the equipment correctly is necessary to get the best of it as well as preserve its lifespan - therefore some training is mandatory prior to using it (eg the Hartley & Noble Bat System)
